Flyer Arm Adjuster Plate Separation |
| Product(s) affected : |
Flyer Arm manufactured before Jan 2005 (s/n’s 0404xxxx to 0105xxxx) |
| Part(s) affected : |
601-7200 (601-7202, 601-7227) |
Update:
New upgrades have been released that will help prevent the possible separation of the Flyer Arm Adjuster Plate (601-7227) from the main Tilt Front Body on the Flyer arm when operating heavy camera loads. The modification involves replacing Rev. A or Rev. B Adjuster Plates with Rev. C plates and securing it in place using 2x ¼-20 x ½” Soc Head Cap Screws. Older Rev. A and Rev. B plates can be identified as having 2x counter sunk screw holes in the plates as opposed to 2x counter bored screw mounting holes, and being held in place using 10-32 screws as opposed to ¼-20 screws.
Complete replacement of the assembly, consisting of the following parts, is recommended to correct this potential issue and to help improve arm performance by implementing the latest product upgrades.
Assembly upgrade components consist of:
1x 601-7202 Rev C (or higher) Tilt Front Body.
1x 601-7203 Rev B (or higher) Tilt Pivot Pin.
1x 601-7227 Rev C (or higher) Adjuster Plate.
2x 601-7234 Caution Label.
2x SCW-087900 ¼-20 x ½” Soc Head Cap Screws.
1x PIN-093106 3/32 x 7/8 Roll Pin.
