"After receiving the Tiffen Dfx software I loaded the Stand alone version and spent about 4 hours with the full version today. While I need to go through each filter in more detail I can tell you that my initial reaction is that Tiffen has a real winner here!
I have tried every major filter program out there and a whole bunch of minor ones for my book ("Guide to Filters for Digital Photography" Lark:2003) as well as keeping up with new programs for my own use.
Hands down, the Tiffen Dfx has the most versatile, useful and easiest to use interface which, BTW, reminds me very much of Lightroom. On my 23" Apple (1:5) monitor, the layout is perfect for seeing effects, especially side-by-side results in a variety of forms. If anyone has problems starting up and immediately working with this program they ought to give up digital photography and try finger painting!"
