If you haven't already done so, we suggest that you first download and install the Dfx v2 Stand-alone or appropriate Plug-in onto the computer where the software will reside. As this software is automatically a free trial version, please confirm it functions correctly with your operating system and host application.
You must be connected to the Internet to complete this process as well as activate your software.
Please note that Dfx v2 upgrades will only qualify for a similar Dfx v1 edition or Dfx Essentials purchased. As example, if you purchased either the Select or Complete Standalone of version 1 or the Dfx Essentials, you may upgrade to our Dfx v2 Standalone, but not to any other edition.
If you purchased a Dfx v1 Select or Complete plug-in, you may upgrade to the Dfx v2 plug-in for the same host application you now use the v1 plug-in with, but not to any other edition.

a) You must have the original Dfx License Number you received when you purchased your Dfx software, (located on the inside front cover of the CD jewel case or included with your confirmation e-mail with online purchases).
This will be a 15 digit number such as the example shown below.

b) Before proceeding, you must be prepared to complete your upgrade purchase transaction. Purchases can only be made by credit card. We accept MC, Visa and Amex.

Your Dfx v1 License Number or Dfx Essentials Product Code is your validation code. You will only be permitted to use your Dfx v1 License Number or Dfx Essentials Product Code once to qualify for your upgrade purchase.
1. Please click on this Upgrade Link for your qualifying upgrade.
2. When you click on the upgrade link above, a new window will open and prompt you to enter the Dfx License Number/Product Code you originally received to activate your Dfx v1 or Dfx Essentials Software.
3) Your valid License Number/Product Code will now bring you to the appropriate Dfx v2 Purchase Window. Continue the transaction by entering all required credit card information. You may purchase your software from any computer.
4. Shortly after you have completed the transaction, you will receive an email confirmation that contains your Product Code (License Number). When you launch the requested Stand-alone or Dfx Plug-in, you will be prompted how and where to enter this Product Code. This Product Code will convert your trial software to unrestricted mode.
