downplaying a distracting background.
When you can’t move closer to the action, bring the action closer to you. The telephoto effect reduces the angle of view and the depth of field, allowing you to capture the main subject while moderately diffusing the background. Perfect for sporting events, candids, portraits, wildlife and nature photos, and travel shots.
It’s easy to gauge the effect of a Tiffen telephoto conversion lens. For example, a 2.0x telephoto lens converts a 150mm lens into a 300mm lens (2 times 150).

When you can’t tell the house to "move back," just add a Tiffen Wide Angle Lens and click away. The wide angle effect broadens the angle of view, while increasing the depth of field, do objects near and far are in focus at the same time. Great for cityscapes, outdoor panoramas, room interiors, and group shots.
It’s easy to understand the effect of a wide angle conversion lens. For example, a 0.56x wide angle lens converts a 38mm lens into a 21.3mm lens (0.56 times 38).

Digital cropping and enlarging with PC software reduces image quality, because you’re taking the same number of pixels and spreading them across a greater area. With the Tiffen Close-Up Lens set, you can get as close as a couple of inches from your subject, and still maintain image resolution and clarity.
Each lens attaches easily onto your camera. They come in a variety of enlarging powers, and can be used individually or combined to give you the degree of detail you need.
