Why is my D&S 7518 not 64 inches?

I have the D&S Provista 7518B tripod. From what I can tell, it is supposed to reach a height of 64 inches. It only reaches 54 inches. What am I missing? Where are my extra 10 inches?

Thanks for posting your picture of Provista 7518. Your picture is an older version of our Provista tripod. However, the tripod should not be 54 inces tall . The tripod is measured from the floor to the top of the head. If you have a sales receipt from a valid Tiffen retailer, we will replace the tripod at no charge.

But Leigh, *why* is the tripod only 54 inches? Are the leg extenders supposed to be longer?

I bought this from J&R several weeks ago. Is that valid? Shall I post the receipt, or email it to you?
