Does F-803 Waxwear have that stiffener bar?
 

... the one on top under the handle? Henry's no longer carries them in the stores (special order only) so I can't check in person.

That said - on my canvas F-802 I 'tried' to remove the stiffener bar, only to discover it is attached VERY securely to the actual handle with a grommet or rivet or something. No amount of bending or working with pliers has managed to remove it so far.

I know some people like the the bar but I find it makes it conform to your side much less.
