What is a reasonably priced UV filter for a camcorder?
 

I'm looking for one that by all means isn't "Cheap" in quality. But one that I can use on my Sony HDR-HC1 for protecting the lens, and the camera. I looked at Tiffen filters, but overall, heard bad things about the quality. Any ideas?

If you are looking for a protection filter that absorbs a high percentage of UV light, I recommend the Tiffen UV Haze 1 filter. It absorbs nearly 75%. If you are strictly looking for a protection filter I recommend the Digital Ultra Clear. It is made from water white glass (most optically pure); however offers no UV absorption.
