Should be the same stuff (or very similar) to that used on Barbour gear; if you can find a "horsey" store, they often carry Barbour gear for riders. ISTR Orvis does as well.

I think I'd go with the F3x for that. Bear in mind that most of the "classic" Domke bags don't have 1/2" padding, so they conform well to the gear and you, unlike overly-padded bags from other makers...

I'd take the F-802 and 720-230 3-compartment insert along with the Post Office Pad. Snap the clip closed and carry the bag in front of you and it's about as secure as anything out there.
