Default F-811 -- Digital photog travel bag

Check out the new Domke F811 Photo/Laptop bag, which might also be called a
'cam-puter" bag. It will hold the laptop, charger, card reader, strobe, camera or two, and a couple of those fatand tall digital zoom lenses.

Wow, it's a heavy bag when fully loaded!

When full it sticks out on your shoulder (about 12-inches), so it is better to turn sideways when walking through doors, BUT you can carry it onto the airline and safe under the plane seat in front of your feet.

Take the bag with you when shooting (hint: lighten your load and leave the computer in the car) with the deeper main compartment it lets you leave the lens hood on the lens! It also lets you to keep the camera with lens attached concealed in the bag, ready to pull out quickly to get the candid street shot.

(Without the computer in the side the bag is really soft against your side and it is a handy pocket for stashing maps, notebook, etc.)

It's all new, and I'm off to shoot some photos. . .

Default F811 insert adapts to your lenses

My how fat these zoom lenses are . . . especially the fast lenses. So I have my insert divided in half from corner to corner for the fat lens hood on my 50-200mm zoom. My super wide angle gets in the other side leaving just a little room for the strobe.
I carry three zoom lenses and twocamera bodies. One box has a lens on it and the F811 enables me to keep any of my lenses on the camera. The second box is stuffed on the other side of the insert ready so I can quickly put the best lens on it and get the photo.

Been using it for a few weeks now and I'm really liking the F-811. Loaded, it is quite weighty on the shoulder (and I don't own any high speed glass!), so I'll soon be ordering another Domke "Postal Service" shoulder pad.
