Tiffen® announces the NAB introduction of the G-70 Arm

Las Vegas, NV, Booth SU2989, April 13, 2006– To conclude its 30th Anniversary celebration, Steadicam, a division of The Tiffen Company, unveils its latest technological advancements including the NAB introduction of the Steadicam G-70TM Arm.

The result of years of research and testing by Garrett Brown and his design team, the G-70 Arm is the lightest, most rigid, best-behaving heavy-duty arm ever developed, with the greatest vertical travel (32 inches) and lifting range (12 to 70 lbs) in Steadicam history. The G-70 Arm hosts a range of innovative features that include the use of new extrusion technologies to keep it incredibly light, yet amazingly stiff and torsion resistant.

The G-70 Arm features Steadicam’s proprietary no-tools adjustment of lift, and introduces two new exclusive and mind-bending additions. ‘Ride’ permits knob-adjustable iso-elasticity and ‘Geo’, is our active tie-rod geometry that automatically extends the performance curve so the entire vertical range of the arm becomes its ‘sweet spot’-- for incredibly smooth control, better handling, less strain and no lock-up at the extremes of travel.
