3- YEAR LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY
NEW G-50X AND G-70X ARMS
The Tiffen Company LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Delaware (“Tiffen”), warrants that for a period of three (3) years from the date of original purchase from Tiffen or from a Tiffen authorized reseller (the “Warranty Period”), our G-50X and G-70X Professional Series STEADICAM Arms (each, a “Product”) shall be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal conditions of use (the “Warranty”). The sales receipt from Tiffen or from a Tiffen authorized reseller, showing the original date of purchase of the Product, shall be proof of commencement of the Warranty Period. The Warranty may be transferred to anyone who subsequently purchases the Product within the Warranty Period provided they register their purchase of the Product with Tiffen at www.tiffen.com within the Warranty Period.
If, during the Warranty Period, a Product does not perform as warranted, the purchaser should contact Tiffen Customer Service at 1-800-645-2522 or firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain a return authorization number (a “RA Number”). The purchaser shall be responsible for properly packaging and shipping the defective Product back to Tiffen at the appropriate address listed below and paying all insurance and shipping charges, taxes, duties and any other costs of returning the Product to Tiffen. All shipping documents to Tiffen accompanying defective Product must clearly state the RA Number and be marked: "Returned to Tiffen for Warranty Inspection." Purchasers must also include a letter with their name, address, telephone number and description of the problem they are having with their Product.
If the Product is found to be defective and under Warranty, Tiffen will repair or replace defective parts with new equivalent or superior parts or, at the option of Tiffen, serviceable used parts that are equivalent or superior to new parts in performance, at no additional charge for parts or labor. Upon completion of Warranty service, Tiffen will package and ship the Product back to the purchaser at Tiffen’s expense. All exchanged parts replaced under this Warranty will become the property of Tiffen.
IN NO EVENT SHALL TIFFEN BE LIABLE FOR LOST PROFITS, COSTS OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES OR FOR ANY OTHER SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE OR INDIRECT DAMAGES, WHETHER UNDER THEORY OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, AND WHETHER OR NOT TIFFEN HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
Some U.S. states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages for consumer products. In such states, some exclusions or limitations contained in this Warranty may not apply to you. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights depending on what jurisdiction you live in. You are advised to consult applicable laws for a full determination of your rights.
As an added benefit for Tiffen customers, the Warranty includes one (1) complimentary Tiffen factory service per Product during the Warranty Period that includes cleaning, inspection, re-calibration to factory specifications and lubrication of the Product, as required (the “Factory Service”). As with a defective Product, the purchaser shall be responsible for properly packaging and shipping the Product back to Tiffen for the Factory Service at the appropriate address listed below and paying all insurance and shipping charges, taxes, duties and any other costs of returning the Product to Tiffen. All shipping documents to Tiffen accompanying the Product must clearly be marked: "Returned to Tiffen for Factory Service." Purchasers must also include a letter with their name, address, and telephone number.
Product service or repair not covered by the Warranty will be billed at Tiffen’s normal rates for parts and labor.
